The Model AT-909 is a compact, lightweight instrument designed to charge direct reading pocket dosimeters.  See dosimeter Models AT-138 and AT-138S.

There is no need to remove the dosimeter from the charger for reading, thereby eliminating the gravitational-induced effect from changing the orientation of the dosimeter. This design is spring-loaded, with a positive mechanical stop, making it nearly impossible to damage dosimeters through use of excessive charging force. A one-turn potentiometer functions as the control. All residual charge is removed from the dosimeters to ensure accurate readings.
