This class is a free, two-day course covering the practical use of Ludlum radiation detection instruments. Designed for operators, technicians, and safety personnel, this course focuses on building confidence in everyday use of radiation detection instruments, whether you are new to radiation detection or want to strengthen your understanding of how different detectors work.
Through guided labs and demonstrations, you will learn how to set up, operate, and interpret readings from Ludlum instruments. You will also learn the principles behind common detector types, how to troubleshoot typical challenges, and the real-world context for using the equipment in the field.
